The Japanese designer Issey Miyake has become one of the world’s leading perfume makers and fashion designers and at the age of 70 is still considered to be an innovative and exciting creative force. Miyake was born in the tragic city of Hiroshima in 1938, and spent his early years under the Japanese regime that was laboring under first war and then the reparations of peace. His attention to detail and keenness to experiment inevitably saw Issey Miyake find a love for the process of making perfume.
