After her successful career as a model and prize winning pianist, Annick Goutal found herself alone with her child and was diagnosed with breast cancer before turning to the creation of fragrances as part of her healing.

Annick Goutal decided that her perfumes would define moments in time, and give their wearers an experience of kindling memory rather than just a fragrance. Annick Goutal perfumes were intended to create emotions and lead wearers to use the fragrances to relive emotions and experiences.

Annick Goutal’s brush with her own mortality led her to throw herself into her work, and the celebration of life that the fragrances and perfumes would come to represent. In collaboration with the legendary perfume designer Henri Sorsana she created her first 3 fragrances in the early 1980s and opened her first boutique in Paris.

The reputation for striking and redolent fragrances from Annick Goutal grew enormously, and before long, she was providing perfumes to some of the highest levels of European society, including her signature scent, Passion, and other perfumes that she named for the people she loved.

Upon the death of Annick Goutal, her daughter Camille gradually took over the reins of the business, and together with her step sister Charlotte, she created a new range of perfumes that would represent a new age for the business, and appeal to a wider and younger audience than ever before.

The new perfumes, which take forward the ideals of independence and freshness that Annick Goutal espoused. But expand upon them to truly define specific moments in time, emotions, and experiences, are truly exceptional, and despite the fact that the label is less well known than many of the other perfume brands currently on the market, the devotees of the brand will not consider any other alternatives.

The main fragrances from Annick Goutal include Ce Soir Ou Jamais perfume, Eau d’Hadrien, Songes Perfume, Eau Du Ciel for women, and a separate line of equally exciting colognes for men including Eau de Lavande Cologne, and Annick Goutal Eau de Monsieur, which have all proved important and extremely popular since their introduction.
